Operation: Comfort Kits

Click the link above to see a list of supply items for comfort needs,
and give the little extras to the troops overseas.

Comfort Kit & Snack Kit Drives

These are community efforts at a local site to collect donated item for the Troops. The Coalition of Troop Support will come out and set-up at your local area or Business. We bring small tents, yellow ribbons, flyer on our programs, raffle items, T-shirt signing to send a message to the Troops that are overseas, and sometimes we even have entertainment. These are fun events to have, and a chance for people to get together and talk. It is a chance to share in our caring for the people so far from home.

Packing Parties

Volunteers get together to put the donated items in one gallon bags and box them up to ship to the Troops. This is a working event, with people from all walks of life getting together and sharing their time for the benefit of the Troops. We have Pizza, snacks, or what ever we can throw together for the event. These events have become places for forming friendships as well. These events again are for sharing & caring about the Troops.

Veterans Outreach

Our outreach program is to help assist the Veteran in anyway we can. We are current on all benefits as well as ALL the places to go for programs, and further assistance. We also put together WELCOME HOME EVENTS, it is VERY important that our returning Veterans be welcomed home. We also help in the local communities with lessons learned from the past, as well as affording the assistance to help veterans become part of the community again. We want to help them have a viable place to belong to again, to reconnect with their world.

Family Assistance Program

We have family assistance available, and work closely with many of the FRGC's (Family Readiness Group Coordinators) in our State. There is emergency assistance available as well as funds for doing. There are many ways we have assisted.

We have a VERY strict policy on the Privacy of our "Military Families" and it is never violated!! We do NOT give out names of family members. ALL cases of family assistance are kept in the strictest of confidence, within THIS organization. This would also be a Contact Point for our returning Veterans to seek financial aid.

Gift of Groceries

Gift of Groceries is donated grocery gift cards. We use these during the Holidays, as well as when things get a little tight from time to time for the Families. This is a wonderful pay-it-forward program to the Military families, and it is a very nice way of saying thank you to them.

For many the struggle of a deployment is laid on the youngest of our new families just starting out in their lives together. In most cases this is not something they had planned for (National Guard & Reservists) and so are unprepared for, and a kind gesture goes a long way with them. So please, if you can get a $10 or $20 gift card for the families, it sure would help in more ways than just the funds, it is a tangible thank you to them.

Adopt A Unit

Civic groups, churches and companies take on the needs of a full Military Unit,
usually from their area.

Afghan-Iraq War Memorial Fund

A memorial for Oregonians who have sacrificed the full measure, in the struggle to bring democracy to Afghanistan and Iraq. We want them to know, now and always, that hearts in the State of Oregon are there for them.

For Oregonians who have served, now serve, or will serve; we will remember their sacrifice forever.

We created a place of peace and reflection for them of rock, stone, mortar, brass and water. It carries the heart beat of all Oregonians in honoring those that gave the full measure of themselves.

Sustaining donations may be sent to:
